Newtons laws of motion that the law is?
A magician pulls a tablecloth and dishes in a vessel at a table without disturbing them.
It is the law of inertia: objects on the table will remain at rest provided that no external forces acting on them. Therefore, if a magician can pull a sheet so that it produces a force on dishes / glasses / etc remain in their positions.
