Camden, London: Where to buy / get?

I am visiting London soon and am anxious to see Camden. I was there the last year, but we have very little time in Camden and no time to explore, and all markets, we are pretty rubbish, selling T-shirts, lighters The Simpson in it, poppers and magic mushrooms … Not quite the image I had of Camden. Where can you go to find unique things like clothes, bags, accessories, records, things like that? Moreover, the last time we went in a bar near Oxford Street, but were not impressed … Since we're staying in Camden, most likely, we would like a few places to go, not necessarily of the clubs, just somewhere with a great atmosphere and friendly people. Other gems of advice that is not in the guides London also will be greatly appreciated =)

To be honest, shopping in Camden is not as good as it was. The rent of shops and stalls is so high that is pushing out many retailers. This is not helped by all the tourists look but do not buy it, and are often local people were visiting on weekends because it is very busy. Depends on what you really want. Stables Market (on the cover, which houses a restaurant Gilgamesh) remains one of my favorites. Look out for No.: Porter – a Little Shop of replacement clothing department held by a lady who does all the same. You can get unique bags, hats, cuffs, caps, etc. are there. Two doors below is Spank, which sells fresh clothes and accessories. Also Burleske. Learn more about shopping alternatives and others here: If you are http://www.camdenlock.net/fashion/alternative.html not in pubs and dirty rock clubs (Worlds End, Barfly, Dublin Castle, etc) you can get decent cocktails Fifty Five Bar in Jamestown Road. http://www.fiftyfivebar.co.uk/home. Htm Do most bars / restaurants in Inverness Street – all are managed by the same person and are universally gloomy. However, Ax (same street) is welcome to hamburgers. Camden not so good for restaurants but allows a short bus trip to Soho, Marylebone, etc. You can also find restaurants More Nice north of the richest areas in suburbs of Hampstead and Belsize Park. If you can find their way to Fleet Road, I recommend you try deer – a quiet back bar with excellent food, friendly staff and a garden fresh. You may as Spitalfields Market – sell a lot of things, but it became very popular among tourists. Although worth a visit.
